== Ingredients ==
*1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)
*1/2 cup peanut butter
*1/2 cup white sugar
*1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
*1 egg
*1 1/2 cups all purpose white flour
*3/4 tsp baking soda
*1/2 tsp baking powder
*1/4 tsp salt

#Thoroughly mix shortening, peanut butter, white and brown sugar, and the egg
#Blend in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt
#Cover and chill
#Heat over to 375
#Shape dough into 1 inch balls. With fork dipped in flour, flatten in crisscross pattern to 2 inches
#Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until set but not hard
