Ingredients

2 16 oz cans green beans
2 cups chicken broth
4 oz bacon (raw) diced or ham (cooked)
1/2 an onion diced
1/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon chopped or minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavor

Directions

  1. Drain green beans, set aside
  2. Make the broth by mixing butter, sugar, pepper, and salt
  3. Over medium heat cook the bacon pieces, then add in the onion, and then the garlic
  4. Add in the broth, simmer for 20 min
  5. Stir in the green beans and bring to a boil again, and then turn off the heat so you don't overcook it.
