Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 16oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 onions thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 3 cups cups sour cream
  • 6 cups cooked egg noodles (I make my own)
  • At least a pound of previously cooked steak cut into bite-sized pieces (don't use cheap steak, I use Ribeye)

Directions

  1. Make a rue with the butter and flour
  2. Cook onions, and garlic in butter in large skillet over med heat until onions are tender.
  3. Add in the mushrooms, and cook until the mushrooms are done
  4. Add in the seasonings and beef broth, bring to a low simmer
  5. While continuously stirring, add in the rue a little at a time until desired consistency reached.
  6. Remove from heat, and stir in the sour cream
  7. Add in the pre-cooked steak and mix into your cooked noodles
