Pioneer Woman Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
5 lbs ground beef (93%) 3 tablespoon olive oil 2 whole yellow onions 2 whole green peppers 6 cloves garlic minced 1 cup white wine 2 cans crushed tomatoes 28 oz 1 can crushed tomatoes 14 oz 1 can tomato paste (small) 1 jar marinara sauce 1 teaspoon oregano 4 whole bay leaves 2 tablespoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper 2 teaspoons salt 1/4 cup parsley 1 wedge Parmesan cheese
Directions
- In a large pot, brown the ground round and drain
- Drizzle in olive oil and put the diced onion and pepper in, cook until soft
- add in garlic and give it another minute
- pour in the wine, allow it to reduce for a few minutes, add in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, spices except for parsley
- stir and add in the ground beef, simmer with lid on for 1 hr
- discard bay leaves, add in parsley and cheese wedge
- stir to combine, put lid on and simmer for another 30 min
