Brioche Bread

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 2 1/2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs room temp
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 495g all purpose flour
Egg Wash
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp water

Directions

  1. In the bowl of the stand mixer, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tbsp sugar. Allow mixture to sit for about 5 min until the yeast becomes active.
  2. Add the rest of the sugar, butter, and eggs. Mix using the whisk.
  3. Switch to the dough hook and add in the flour. After its all mixed together, kneed for another 3-4 minutes
  4. Put the dough in an oiled bowl and allow to rise until doubled
  5. Fold it and pound the air out of it and put it back in the bowl and let it rise for another 30-45 min
  6. Separate into rolls and place onto a baking sheet. Cover and let raise again for 30-35 min
  7. Brush with egg wash
  8. Bake at 325 for 30-25 min
